QUEEN HUSSARIA

Queen Hussaria was a project prompt I created to keep working on illustrative work between semesters. It is inspired by the female monarch of Poland, Jadwiga. The winged hussars also took heavy inspiration from the famous Polish Lithuanian Empire cavalry unit. The rendering style of the illustration took a more painterly approach to this project, as it was the best way to emphasize the subject matter.
